The power of imagination...

School "holidays".
Humph.
Our eldest (9) is bored.
He just appeared at my door holding a blue strip of wood as tall as him, "I've found something to play with!", he exclaimed excitedly.
"Ah!", I said, "What is it?"
"A stick." he said,
"So, what's it going to be?", I asked,
"A stick." he said.

I don't know if you ever read any prophetic stuff like Rick Joyner? What he says is that when he's having a vision it's so real, but then when he's back on earth again the vision seems kind of like a dream and earth seems real...

So when he has subsequent visions, he brings this point up and God tells him that the world of the vision (heaven, spiritual realm) is the real reality and is much more real than the life we have on earth.

Remember the bit where Jesus tells his disciples about being washed: John 13:10 Jesus said to him, The one having been bathed has no need other than to wash the feet, but is wholly clean. And you are clean

Only a very small part of us (feet) touches the physical world and gets "dirty" and needs washing. Our true lives are in Spirit.

I think, ironically, that the non-Christian world is starting to wake up to the fact that the physical reality we live in is a lot less real than it at first seems, but we the church are lagging behind, living almost entirely in the physical.

Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh =)

Hard work, hard to keep going, hard to pick yourself up when you keep failing, unglamorous, stupid looking, tough, loving, humiliating, self-crucifying, soldiering, soldiering, soldiering, till we fear God not death.
